Cerro Negro Gold Project

Bajo Negro

Follow-up of anomalous gold values in MIM's rock chip database led to the discovery in 2006 of several small quartz vein outcrops about 1 km SW of Vein Zone. The outcrops appear to define NW trending veins, and are situated on a NW aeromagnetic anomaly similar to the one which coincides with Vein Zone mineralization. Preliminary rock chip sampling of vein outcrops returned gold values of 4.05, 5.57, 3.32 and 2,07 g/t, as well as other values less than 1 g/t. A single backhoe trench across the zone, sampled at 2m intervals, returned 2m @ 4.03 g/t and 4m @ 2.43 g/t Au.

Drill testing of Bajo Negro has been deferred due to the greater prospectivity of the Eureka area, however initial testing is proposed during Phase 5 subject to rig availability and ongoing exploration at Eureka and Vein Zone.
